Do none of you folks watch this? I know, a new thread right before the finale is kinda dumb, but I'm going to want to vent, I am. And there's always next season.

Go Lisa. Been rooting for her since I started watching about halfway through the season.
mjforty
I'm watching Claudia and so is LurkerNan.

Personally, I don't have the Danielle-hate that a lot of other people have. I saved that for Roddy and Josh and once they were gone I was spent. Also, I can't get fully behind Lisa because she has done as much trash talking about former houseguests as Danielle and Marcellas. I will be fine if either Lisa or Danielle win. If I had to vote, I guess I'd vote for Danielle. Lisa was a bit too insipid for me.

What I'm really looking forward to is the interview segments with the final two houseguests and the round table discussion. That should be good, especially since Julie Chen has been bringing her snark, lately.

I watch as part of my religion. I've been recapping all summer, until lately, when I couldn't bring myself to watch these boring houseguests do laundry and play cards for more than five minutes at a time. Not to mention the fact that RealOne sucks (!) and hardly ever works anyway.

But I love this show, despite how often boring it is. Lori and Gerry have been my favorites since the get-go, but I really started rooting for Lisa after Eric's eviction, and am so glad she won. However, even more, I'm happy that Danielle lost.

Boo, Danielle! But there's something I'm curious about -- where are all these "evil," "bad" things that Danielle keeps referencing to. She justifies her loss by saying that she's "evil," and that she's "This year's Will," when in fact, she's done nothing that is evil, she's done nothing to make her seem like Will, she's clearly not as hot, and she doesn't have that crucial body part. The reasons to hate her keep coming in handfuls.
mjforty
Yeah, I agree, ladexter. I kept trying to remember the "evil" things she had done. The only thing that really qualifies is voting out Marcellas but I have no sympathy for him since he would have sold Danielle down the river at one point, as well. I was wondering whether Danielle was trying to portray herself as evil in the hopes that it would win her some votes. However, she did seem really hesitant to meet the former houseguests to the point of holding back when Lisa went to open the door. I would have appreciated her more if she had taken the attitude Jason took about her "Look, this is how I chose to play the game. I did nothing in that house that all of you weren't willing to do, so back the fuck off." But I was always annoyed with the whole "let's give it to someone who 'deserves' to win" attitude that was running through the game this season. So sanctimonious and hypocritical given the fact that all of them participated in some really nasty behavior at one time or another.
Claudia
But part of the game of Big Brother is crafting and matching whatever the household consensus is about what are winning qualities. Because in the end it comes down to that vote.

If Danielle had done the exact same gameplay stuff and not been nasty in the DR, I think she would have won hands-down. She's a good player.

I think Lisa is too, though, just in a less aggressive way.
ladexter
See, Danielle was never really nasty in the DR.

She said things, sure, but were they nasty? No. I mean, I can see the actual houseguests having a different outlook on the comments, what with them being about them in particular and all, but I don't recall anything that Danielle said that was harsh enough to be qualified as "evil," "heartless" or any of those broad terms. Marcellas was much nastier to his fellow houseguests than Danielle was, but I guess that's neither here nor there.

I just don't think that Danielle was particularly nasty to anyone. Ever. And for that fact alone, she cannot be compared to Will.

Bump! Season 4!

I just watched the first two episodes last night. I adore the X factor as a way to stir things up, but I think the exes are most all screwed, no? They let the first 8 get all tight first, and I found them collectively really likeable, and then they introduce 5 underdogs with the bedpass power to begin by really pissing people off.

It made for good television, especially because I think 8 is about the maximum number of people I can assimilate all at once. Example: I know the blonde chicks apart now and I wouldn't have if they'd arrived at the same time. Heh.

My only hope for Will-worthy evil looks to be the Pilates instructor (her ex is easy to hate), but I hope FBI dude will make things interesting too.
Goalie
Oh yes, I'm watching...I hate to admit it.
I never really got into the last few, I'd just catch it when I happened to go by on the dial.

I've watched both eps now, and am hooked in like a fish. I think they'll get rid of Jee the Asian guy or the FBI guy first...
mjforty
I have hopes for the FBI guy, as well. I do like the ex factor, I think it made things interesting right away with the scheming and alliances. It'll be interesting to see if it holds. Because I'm a subscriber to RealOne, I also check in on the Live Feeds which is what got me addicted to this show in the first place. The TWoP boards stopped allowing live feed recaps since people were coming and refreshing to see if anything new had happened. If you guys want a link to a good live feed recap site, I'll be happy to supply it. I tend to be an insomniac so I do end up recapping in the later hours but I like to wait until the crowd dies down a bit since it makes it easier to know who to focus on when recapping.

Yesplease. I'm on the free week's trial right now with RealOne... dunno whether I'll keep it past then or not.
mjforty
This is the site that was formed after TWoP closed down the live feed recap thread. It's made up of a lot of TWoPpers so you should feel familiar with the level of snark. I take no responsibility for the fact that your summer may now consist of reading BigBrother Live Feed Recaps and commenting on them.

Putting this in spoilers, although it will probably be on tonights episode.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):
Amanda and Dave had sex last night. Yes, full-on sex. They were in the HOH room and spent 45 minutes or so kissing and groping, with breaks for conversations about house strategy and discussions of how Amanda is there without an agenda because she's convinced she's leaving tonight (which I think she is). Anyway, it finally gets serious and we actually see about two minutes of the sex (which takes place under the blankets but was still a bit graphic). After a few minutes, the producers go to the front of the house with that awful music. When they come back (after appoximately 35 minutes), we find out that after the sex Dave vomitted. Hee. Can you believe that. Talk about making the night memorable. There was also some post-coital regret on the part of Dave, who is worried what the other housemates will think when they find out.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):
Well, that leaves Britain as the only country where Big Brother contestants have not had sex. I'm actually quite proud.
Claudia
I'm really impressed with CBS's tastefulness or something in what they left out of last night's show. Those watching the live feeds know a bit more about Scott's medical history, let's say, than those who just watched his edited-for-TV departure.
Mirren
Hell, even people reading the freesheet Metro in the UK know a lot more about his medical history and consequent terrible rages than they might have wished ...
Claudia
Well, damn. Jack was my favorite. But the tricky 3-girls alliance vs. the dream team of 2 should be interesting.
