I know many of my fellow Fugees are very creative, so here is a little place to share our talents!

Yesterday I purchased a piece of software that will turn any picture into a cross stich pattern and assign colours and make the chart and everything. It was only $10, it should be fun.

And I was doing some surfing around this morning and came across the following sites with already made patterns and I just know that some people are going love em.

I must have a look.

Do you remember how freaked we were when the three of us 'triplets' realised we all did Cross-stitch?
Boliver
Well, I really pulled a Frank and used a glue gun on a side table. I painted the ceiling of our study an eggplant purple and installed molding on the walls 1.5 inches from the ceiling to pull the ceiling down. That color, along with the taupe big chair we got for the room determined the color of the side table.

I painted the table taupe, with lavender on the skinny parts of the legs. Then I glued silk flowers in that color scheme on the top of the table, and put little risers on the 4 corners, sitting a piece of heavy glass on the risers so the glass is over the flowers without smooshing them. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Mr. B was complaining about my masculine preference in color and house decoration, so I added some pretty to to room to make him happy.

I just hope it doesn't look too country.

The triplets all do cross-stitch? So do I. No wonder I felt an immediate need to give Beej a hard time.
BJC
Why???
Ambrose's Auntie
It's like leaf-peeping.

It's a thing we do these days.

And I only do tapestry and needlecraft. I feel so inadequate.

I'm dredging this old topic up! I posted a while back that I got a drawing tablet, and I've been drawing a bunch lately. Just some little ones I've been doing recently:

This one I am stalled on, I'm not sure where I want to go next:

Aw, I love the face on your purple dragon... particularly the eyes.
Pandrea
Oh, very cute. I'm in awe of people who can draw (hee, that rhymes).

Those are great, Nal. I think you said you were planning on doing a web-comic; will it be fantasy based, or are these drawings just for fun?
Nalian
They're just for fun - I really have no idea what I'm doing with drawing so it's kind of a "try it and figure things out" mode I'm in. Up until around 3 months ago I'd never really tried to draw much.

These are unfinished, but general idea of the style of the comic I think I'm going to do:

As you can see, though, the drawings are still awkward so I have a lot of work to do. Perspective is kind of a rough lesson to learn on your own. I should really take a class or something.
Nalian
Ok I added to the baby dragon and I'm kind of enamored with it, so in bad form I'll post after myself anyway:

Heh.

(I have to admit, this glimpse into your brain is a little bit scary. Is it all dragons and surfer dudes in there?)
Nalian
Well the surfer guys are part of the comic i'm slowly developing.
